Buckle up, baddies!!!

I had a totally different topic lined up for this issue but then Elon Musk — perhaps the most well-known founder in the world — went and did a Nazi salute on national TV not once, but TWICE.

Of the things that equate to Behaving Badly, this is probably the Badliest.

(I’m not including the picture because 1) you’ve probably seen it, and 2) I can’t stand that jabroni’s face.)

I’ll keep this one short and sweet:

Yesterday was the inauguration of Donald Trump. Elon Musk spoke at the inauguration. He threw up two very sus salutes.

Here’s the deal…

People have already tried to excuse it by saying:

• “He was just ‘throwing his heart to the crowd’”

• “He has autism”

• “He was actually doing a Roman salute and you need to DO YOUR RESEARCH”

But know this:

• Musk has openly and gleefully thrown his support behind the far-right AfD party in Germany (which boasts actual neo-Nazis among its ranks)

• Autism doesn’t make you a bigot

• The “Roman salute” argument falls flat as soon as you realize that it’s also known as the Fascist salute — first adopted by Italian fascists before the Nazis caught on

Don’t make excuses for Ivy League-educated, media-trained billionaires who know better. Call it out for what it is: a dog whistle (more like a siren) for white nationalism.

Oh yeah and before I go: fuck that guy.
